Busted drive mechanism in Samsung MS28

So in my X-Clamped 360, the disk drive stops while opening sometimes. I have to smack it above the drive to get it to open, and its pretty annoying to do. If I am correct, I can buy a new Samsung drive and just put in the firmware board and it will work fine. Can anyone confirm this? I’m pretty sure it’ll work, but I haven’t been reading up on 360s a lot latley and want to make sure it’ll work before I spend the money for a new drive.

Future shop gives 53,000 sq. ft. middle finger to recession

This past Wednesday evening Alan and I got the opportunity to get a tour of the new Future Shop in South Edmonton Common. They gave us food, a tour, and a free bluetooth headset in the interests of biasing our opinions. This store is massive. It’s more than double the size of an average Future Shop. Imagine a Costco-sized warehouse dedicated to electronics. But they weren’t going to settle with being the largest store, this is also a special pilot store where they plan on introducing new prod

Old School Shumps on Xbox 360

“Arcade-style 2D shooters make up another one of those genres that the Xbox 360 has surprisingly managed to lead this generation (the list also includes Japanese RPGs and love sims). This very hardcore genre was the focus of Microsoft Japan’s latest gaming event, the Xbox 360 Shooting Festa. Held Friday evening at the massive FujiSoft complex in Akihabara, this event gathered shooting fanatics who had registered in advance. Over the course of two hours, the group was given a chance to play Xbox
